Foi bolsista  da Igreja Presbiteriana dos E.U.A. Em 1955 formou-se no Westminster Choir College BM (Bacharel em M\u00fasica). Em1967 obteve o SMM (Sacred Music Master) no Union Theological Seminary School of Music, em Nova York, com especializa\u00e7\u00e3o em Composi\u00e7\u00e3o. Realizou workshops anuais no Brasil, para os quais publicou o maior acervo de M\u00fasica Coral da L\u00edngua Portuguesa. Diretor Art\u00edstico e Maestro da SOEMUS (Sociedade Evang\u00e9lica de M\u00fasica Sacra) Foi do Comit\u00ea dos Hin\u00e1rios Evang\u00e9lico e Cantai Todos os Povos, novo hin\u00e1rio da Igreja Presbiteriana Independente. No exterior, ele compilou um hin\u00e1rio bil\u00edngue, Seja Louvado, para a St Paul\u2019s Presbyterian Church, nos anos em que foi organista e regente do coral (1964-1972).  Foi pastor titular dessa mesma Igreja (1983-1996). Tamb\u00e9m  publicou cole\u00e7\u00f5es de hinos com musicas brasileiras, tais como When Breaks the Dawn, The Heavens are Telling e Adoro Te, e uma cole\u00e7\u00e3o para \u00f3rg\u00e3o em 4 volumes, intitulada Brazilian Organ Music. De 1996-2006, foi Diretor do Coro e Organista na Segunda Igreja Presbiteriana de Elizabeth, NJ. \u00c9 Pastor Em\u00e9rito da Igreja Presbiteriana de S\u00e3o Paulo em Newark, NJ. Fundador da Comunidade Presbiteriana do Mil\u00eanio, em Hillside, NJ. Membro Vitalicio da Hymn Society of America, de onde recebeu o t\u00edtulo de Fellow em 2017. Em Irati fundou a Associa\u00e7\u00e3o Coral Iratiense e tem atuado como maestro fundador do coral Gaudeamus in Domino. Em 2016 recebeu o pr\u00eamio Colmeia de Ouro.
