Filho de Jo\u00e3o Lemes do Prado e Rosa Bandeira. Vai lutar na Guerra do Paraguai em 1865, no posto de subtenente. No dia 05\/09\/1869, resgata a BANDEIRA IMPERIAL usada como tapete, no pal\u00e1cio do Ditador do Paraguai Solano Lopes. Ap\u00f3s o t\u00e9rmino da Guerra do Paraguai em 07\/05\/1870, Fid\u00eancio recebeu honrarias e medalhas, entre elas, Medalha de Bronze do Brasil, Medalha de Prata da Argentina e Medalha de Ferro do Uruguai. Em 1989, em reconhecimento a sua bravura na Guerra, foi homenageado em Curitiba sua terra natal, com a inaugura\u00e7\u00e3o de uma pra\u00e7a p\u00fablica com seu nome. Ap\u00f3s o final da guerra, veio residir em Imbituva, na localidade de S\u00e3o Miguel, casando-se com D.
